Most stand alone air blowers are not suitable for spa bath applications as they do not have the sanitation cycle which is a must to maintain maximum hygiene. Heated air blowers are essential for spa baths without hot pumps. Operated by air button control, speed ramps up and down, or can be set at constant desired speed. After 10 minutes from shut down, the blower will start at low speed and ramp up, running for 30 seconds.

This is referred to as a sanitation cycle - the air blower lines are purged of water which would otherwise become stagnant and bacteria could breed - this function is essential for spa bath hygiene. The built in heating element prevents rapid heat loss of the spa water which would otherwise occur. This does not mean, however, that the water temperature will not drop.
