Can be used and retrofitted to work with most spas requiring 1.5 hp single speed, 3450 rpm, 115/230 volts pump motor. Note: Before ordering this "FULL RATED" 1.5 hp - as a replacement pump - make sure that your existing pump is not an "Uprated" pump. Sometimes manufactures call their pump a 1.5 HP when it's really 1 hp. They call this an Uprated or SPL Pump. The motor amperage determines the true horse power.

A 1 hp pump will be rated at approximately 11-14 amps. A 1.5 hp pump will be rated approximately 15 - 16 amps. Also note: you may think you have or need a pump for 2" plumbing, when you actually need 1 1/2". The pump connections measure larger than the actual pipe size used. The threaded connection on a 1 1/2" pump measure 2 3/8" - the threaded connections on a 2" pump measure 3".

Unless otherwise specified, you will receive 2" pump connections with this listing.
