**SPONGE FILTER WARNING** We are seeing several listings for 'bio sponge' filters for your hot tub, spa and pool. DO NOT USE THESE! These are made from pond filter foam and will invalidate your warranty as well as possibly damage your pump. 1, They are not chemical resistant (ponds are not treated wit chlorine or bromine!) To do this they have to resist clogging and so are very open structure allowing as much water to flow through as possible. They are as they say designed for biological reasons not to filter microscopic particles out (haze). In a spa you want the highest level of filtration possible. Your standard filters go down to about 20 microns.... Our filters go down to 1 micron!!! 5, The mere fact many are being promoted on a 'bio basis' and on the fact they go for several weeks without clogging, clearly shows the sellers lack of knowledge when it comes to filtering your spa or hot tub.

Ask yourself, with new filter units costing £250 plus.... are you willing to trust a 'diy' pond option? Personally I would spent a few extra pounds and get the reasurance of a filter designed for spas, by one of the worlds leading spa, hot tub and pool filter producers.
