Frame Material: Wood
Wood Fired Hot Tub With Lights. I recently built this stunning tub to a high spec. It has the following features External wood burner (made from a gas bottle) with chimney and cap Steel coil heating element Heat resistant tubing supplying water Outlet tap to disperse water once used IBC tank (originally held honey) in plastic so easy to clean Insulated throughout (using material created from recycled plastic bottles) Clad in recycled wood Top clad in locally sourced Cedar with screws hidden under dowels. Very naturally looking Up to 1000 litre capacity External pump to push water around the tank to help create flow External lights with various settings that can be easily removed Wood lid 3 coats of danish oil to preserve wood Wood burner painted in heat resistant paint The external wood burner can be screwed to the floor. It is also easy to removed for transportation Two people can easily sit in the tub It takes around 3-4 hours to heat up.
How the system works You only need two things to work your wood fired hot tub: water and wood. As the water is heated in the coil it begins to rise (hot water rises just like hot air). The water follows the spiral of the coil up and back out into the tub. Cold water from the bottom of the tub is sucked into the bottom inlet of the coil which starts a steady flow without a pump. This scientific phenomenon is called thermosyphon.
It’s approx 128 L x 137 W x 94 H (cm) It is situated in Marden, Hereford. Two people can lift the tub and I can help load on a trailer Any questions, please ask
